residential building
the building consists of several independent volumes of varying heights. this makes the complex appear more like a small cluster of pavilions than a compact block. flat or slightly sloping roofs, right angles, and generous horizontal lines create a very minimalist, modern aesthetic. the ribbed, vertically profiled metal cladding gives the structures an industrial, almost sculptural appearance. at the same time, it contrasts sharply with the surrounding vegetation.
the center of the complex opens almost completely to the garden. sliding doors and floor-to-ceiling glass surfaces blur the boundary between interior and exterior spaces.
terraces and covered areas are created between the enclosed structures and the garden. the shallow, rectangular pools along the entrance act as reflective surfaces and reinforce the horizontal, tranquil effect of the architecture.
the central path leads directly to the transparent central structure and onward to the water and the surrounding landscape. the mountain in the background effectively becomes a borrowed component of the architecture – a principle in which the environment is consciously integrated into the spatial composition.
