residential building
villa aurea is a striking example of contemporary luxury architecture, combining sculptural forms, refined materials, and a strong connection to the surrounding Mediterranean landscape. the residence is composed of several interconnected volumes, each defined by bold geometric proportions and distinctive curved rooflines that soften the overall architectural composition.
the exterior is characterized by rich, reddish-brown metal cladding with a natural patina, creating a warm and sophisticated contrast against the surrounding greenery and rugged mountain scenery. expansive floor-to-ceiling glass façades open the interiors to the landscape, allowing natural light to penetrate deep into the living spaces while framing panoramic views of the mountains and gardens.
a defining feature of the design is the interplay between solid architectural elements and transparent glass surfaces. the gently curved roofs introduce an organic quality, while the strong vertical frames and clean lines maintain a contemporary, minimalist aesthetic. natural stone walls and terraces anchor the building to the terrain, creating a harmonious transition between architecture and nature.
the residence is arranged around a generous swimming pool that serves as the central outdoor focal point. layered terraces, landscaped gardens, mature olive trees, ornamental grasses, and carefully integrated pathways create a private resort-like atmosphere. beneath the main terrace, a partially recessed living and dining area extends the usable space outdoors while providing shade and a sense of intimacy.
inside, warm timber finishes, neutral furnishings, subtle lighting, and generous open-plan spaces establish an atmosphere of understated elegance. the seamless integration of indoor and outdoor living reinforces the villa’s connection to its environment.
