residential building
ember tower is a striking example of contemporary luxury residential architecture, combining sculptural vertical forms, rich natural tones, and an innovative integration of greenery. set within the spectacular waterfront landscape of sydney, the tower establishes a distinctive architectural presence through its elegant proportions, expressive facade, and carefully considered relationship with its surroundings.
the building is characterized by a slender vertical silhouette, articulated by warm copper-toned cladding, bronze metal detailing, and expansive floor-to-ceiling glazing. the reddish-brown facade panels create a rich, tactile appearance that changes subtly with the shifting daylight, while the dark structural frames emphasize the tower’s height and geometric precision.
a defining feature of the design is the rhythm of projecting balconies and recessed terraces. these layered elements create depth and visual complexity across the facade, breaking down the building’s vertical scale while providing private outdoor spaces for residents. integrated planters and cascading vegetation introduce a natural softness, establishing a harmonious balance between the solidity of the metal-clad structure and the transparency of the glass surfaces.
at the upper levels, the architecture becomes more sculptural, with angular projections and distinctive framing elements forming a dramatic crown. this carefully articulated roofline gives the tower a recognizable silhouette against the sydney skyline and reinforces its identity as a contemporary architectural landmark.
at ground level, the high-rise transitions into a collection of lower residential volumes surrounded by landscaped gardens, mature trees, and secluded outdoor spaces. natural stone, warm timber finishes, subtle lighting, and carefully integrated planting create a welcoming arrival experience. the landscaped podium also incorporates leisure areas and a swimming pool, extending the residential environment beyond the building’s interior.
inside, generous glazing maximizes natural daylight and frames panoramic views of sydney harbour, the surrounding waterfront, and the city skyline. open-plan layouts, refined material palettes, and warm interior finishes contribute to an atmosphere of understated sophistication.
