residential building
emerald house is a striking example of contemporary luxury architecture, defined by clean geometric forms, minimalist lines, and a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor living. the residence consists of a composition of interconnected cubic volumes, creating a dynamic yet harmonious silhouette that blends naturally into the surrounding Irish landscape.
the facades are clad in weathered green copper, whose rich patina echoes Ireland’s lush vegetation and gives the building a distinctive, timeless character. expansive floor-to-ceiling glass façades flood the interiors with natural light while offering panoramic views of the surrounding hills and countryside. warm timber finishes, natural stone, and refined interior detailing create a sophisticated balance between modern minimalism and understated comfort.
the architecture embraces transparency and openness, with generous living spaces extending directly onto landscaped terraces and an elegant infinity pool. carefully positioned stone walls, native planting, ornamental grasses, and mature trees integrate the residence into its natural setting.
despite its bold contemporary expression, the building maintains a strong sense of tranquillity and restraint. its low horizontal profiles, sculptural volumes, and earthy materials establish a dialogue between architecture and landscape, while the changing Irish light and weather enhance the textures and colours of the façade.
